During my junior and senior year in high school, I was the president for Tech-for-Teaching, a non-profit charity hosted by Brent International School Manila. In this program, my team collects old computers from our classmates, parents and private companies, refurbish them, then donate them to the underfunded local schools.
While the program may seem simple, it is, in fact, very laborious and challenging. Most of the computers we received are not in ideal conditions.Despite the difficulties, by the time of my graduation, the program has already installed over 80 computers across 6 different schools in 10 trips. Furthermore, this year we are awarded the first Richard T. Krjczar Annual Humanitarian Award from EARCOS as well as 10000 USD.
